In a persuasive essay, you can argue that summer vacations should be longer, that kids should get less homework or that kids should be paid for good grades. Pick a topic that you feel strongly about. The report is titled "The Body's Defenses" May 30: Read the research report on page 643 and answer 5 questions. Then, review the process to create a Reseach Report. Pages 631 to 641. June 1: STudents will choose a subject and ask questions to answer in through their research report. They will visit the library to find sources.
WEEK 8 June 4: Students will write an introduction that includes an attention grabber and a main idea statement. They will use the information that they gathered to write their reports. June 5:Writing Assessment. Students will use the whole hour to plan and write a complete essay. 20 pts. June 6: Students will turn in their research report and will present it to the rest of the class. June 8: Final Exams begin.
